Our first meeting went really well. We welcomed six new girls and were delighted they came.We began the night just munching on some school snack/lunch and getting to know each other around the "cafeteria"table. We had a great worship time together followed by our first speaker of the year. Katie spoke about some the Fruit of the Spirit in a very practical way, helping the girls understand how it can be applied to their daily lives at school. As God would have, Mary had also planned a little talk about the same topic and she addressed the ones that were not part of the first session. We finished with a fun photo shoot and the girls took home this cool bracelet they made with UV beads. Hopefully as they wear these bracelets they will be reminded to let the Fruit of the Spirit shine and be evident as they interact with others at home, at school and wherever they go.
Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit that the Spirit produces in a person’s life is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these kinds of things.
God bless you and see you on October 8th for apple picking. More info will be sent soon, via e-mail.

Welcome Back to Our Blog!!
Hello everyone,
As we begin our 8th year I would like to say thank you to the wonderful leaders who made Circle of Friends possible last year: Laura, Mari and Erika. You have been a blessing to the girls and your faithfulness to this ministry has impacted their lives forever. I am glad to be back and looking forward to another exciting year with Laura, Erika and joining us this year Mary D. Mary is a mother of 4, and has served at Ridgeway through the AWANA program for many years.
Our first meeting is coming up this Friday, September 21st at 6:30. Please meets us in the church lobby for a great time together as we address the topic: Back to School.
Please remember to bring your favorite school lunch and wear your favorite back to school out-fit.
We are looking forward to the new Friday schedule as it will be easier for the leaders and hopefully it will also allow for a better attendance. Saturday afternoons were becoming difficult for many girls with their sports schedules. Please give us feed back!!
Email us with your questions, thoughts and ideas.
Our theme for this is is: Girls Can Do Anything and the theme verse is:
"Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity" 1 Timothy 4:12
Be blessed and hope to see you this Friday!
Marilia
