What have we been up to?
Something good is happening! Even though we have had only three meetings we are enjoying the time spent together worshiping God through music, learning about Christ and his mission for us: to pray for, and serve others. Becoming more aware of the need people have of Jesus, and how important it is for us to share God's love: The Great Commission!
The fun about our last meeting was making guacamole, a traditional Mexican dish. We were introduced to Consuelo, one of the World Vision Hearts4hearts dolls and heard about Mexico's religious beliefs, challenges and great need to hear the Gospel. We also talked about the fact that we can be a missionary right where we are, to our family members, neighbors, classmates, etc. We pray that each one of these girls will burn with the desire to reach the lost.
One of the songs we sang was Mighty to Save, by Hillsong, in Spanish. Why not listen to it and be blessed? Check the link below.

We hope to see everyone next Friday, October 26 for an unforgettable meeting.
God bless you!

Back to School Meeting
Our first meeting went really well. We welcomed six new girls and were delighted they came.We began the night just munching on some school snack/lunch and getting to know each other around the "cafeteria"table. We had a great worship time together followed by our first speaker of the year. Katie spoke about some the Fruit of the Spirit in a very practical way, helping the girls understand how it can be applied to their daily lives at school. As God would have, Mary had also planned a little talk about the same topic and she addressed the ones that were not part of the first session. We finished with a fun photo shoot and the girls took home this cool bracelet they made with UV beads. Hopefully as they wear these bracelets they will be reminded to let the Fruit of the Spirit shine and be evident as they interact with others at home, at school and wherever they go.
Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit that the Spirit produces in a person’s life is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these kinds of things.
God bless you and see you on October 8th for apple picking. More info will be sent soon, via e-mail.
