Back to School Meeting - 9/18/10

Circle of Friends is Back in Style!

Our first meeting was something like a school day with a twist. Yes, we did get to talk to our friends for a while before the bell rang. We did the pledge, we had 5 periods, and recess. It was almost like a school day however we got to pray and sing songs of worship. We talked about how to dress to school in a cute/cool/fun way without compromising ourselves. We learned about Modesty and that we should honor God with our fashion choices. Emma, Isabella and Lauren did a great job showing us their style and teaching us to be a "God's Girl".

Ruth and her mom taught us to prepare Ruth's favorite school lunch: Caesar Salad. We chopped eggs, carrots, bacon, mushroom and added to a big bowl of Romaine lettuce. We threw in some dressing, tossed it and ate it all up. It was delicious!!

Nothing like a fun gym teacher. Sarah Bagwell turned us into a human knot and it took all of us working together to get out of one big knot.

Danielle and Lila"s topic was: "A Girl's Guide to Survive in School!

They gave us a True/False test which brought some interesting discussions about relationship with friends, being a christian in school, standing up for what we believe in, etc.

Our next meeting is on Saturday, October 9Th. We will be going apple picking and we are definitely looking forward to our first trip.

Check these pictures to see how much fun we had.
